City Council: which ward is Lincoln Park in?

Lincoln Park is in four wards, and the 43rd Ward is the largest by far. We overlaid the City of Chicago’s official 2023 ward boundaries on the official community area boundary. By land area, the 43rd Ward covers about two-thirds of Lincoln Park, including the central and eastern blocks and the lakefront park. The 32nd Ward covers about a quarter, mostly on the western side, and the 2nd Ward covers about a tenth, in parts of the south and southwest. A very small piece near North Avenue falls in the 27th Ward. Chicago Police incident records for community area 7 in 2026 show the same four wards in the same order.

The ward describes itself as running from Diversey to Division and from the lakefront to Racine, so it also reaches beyond Lincoln Park into the Gold Coast and Old Town. Ward offices are your first stop for Streets & Sanitation questions, residential permit parking, block-party permits and local zoning matters.
