Binny’s Beverage Depot Lincoln Park is a large wine, beer and spirits store at 1720 N. Marcey St., between Willow and Wisconsin streets near the Clybourn shopping corridor in the southwest part of the neighborhood. The CTA North/Clybourn Red Line station is a short walk south.
What it’s known for
Binny’s is a privately held Illinois chain that traces its roots to 1948, when Harold Binstein opened Gold Standard Liquors at Clark and Sheffield, a block south of Wrigley Field. The company is now based in Niles and has dozens of stores across the state. Time Out Chicago has described the Lincoln Park store as borderline big-box, with a very large selection of beer, wine and spirits, including a sizable kosher section, plus classes, tastings and samples.
The store hosts ticketed tastings and free sampling events. The fall 2026 calendar included a $20 holiday wine showcase, rum and whisky tastings, a Champagne gala, and free bottle-engraving events for several whiskey and tequila brands. Binny’s offers in-store and curbside pickup for this location. Its website also sells gift cards and gift baskets.
