Dimmi Dimmi Corner Italian is an Italian-American restaurant at 1112 W. Armitage Ave., on the corner of Seminary Avenue in Lincoln Park and about two blocks west of the CTA Armitage Brown and Purple Line station. It opened in August 2025 in the former Tarantino’s space.
What it’s known for
Cornerstone Restaurant Group, which also runs Urbanbelly and Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, operates the restaurant. Time Out Chicago reports that executive chef Matt Eckfeld trained at Carbone and ZZ’s Club in New York and earlier worked under Bill Kim at Urbanbelly. Tarantino’s, the previous tenant, closed in March 2025 after about 30 years, according to Classic Chicago Magazine.
The restaurant describes itself as an updated neighborhood trattoria built on red-sauce favorites, tavern-style pizza with crispy edges, handmade pasta and classic cocktails such as martinis. Time Out’s August 2025 review mentions a Caesar salad, meatballs, mozzarella sticks, stuffed spicy rigatoni vodka shells, a Calabrian dirty martini, a limoncello spritz and affogato for dessert.
