Döner 97 is a small Turkish-German street-food restaurant at 2435 N. Clark St. in Lincoln Park, just north of Fullerton Avenue. It serves lunch and dinner for dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering.
What it’s known for
The focus is döner kebab: lamb, beef and chicken shaved from vertical spits. The Infatuation, which rated it 7.6 in 2025, recommends the handhelds, especially the sandwich on pide that is pressed until crisp and filled with spicy chili and garlic sauces, lettuce, tomato and onion. Bowls can be customized, and the menu also includes build-your-own kumpir (a loaded baked potato), lentil soup, falafel, hummus, tabouli, burek and baklava, with ayran to drink.
The restaurant describes its food as celebrating Turkish-German street-food heritage. The Infatuation lists it as a pick for cheap eats, casual dinners, takeout and lunch. A photo in its review shows a counter and a few tables.
