Regal Webster Place is an 11-screen movie theater at 1471 W. Webster Ave., in the Webster Place shopping center on the west side of Lincoln Park near Clybourn Avenue. It shows first-run films.
What it’s known for
The theater opened on July 20, 1988, with eight screens built by M&R Amusements, according to Cinema Treasures. Three more screens were added in 1998. It has since run under several chains, including Loews and Kerasotes, before Regal took over in 2010. A remodel followed in 2007, and Cinema Treasures reports that reserved seating and recliners were added in the mid-2010s, with a total of about 837 seats.
The two-story Webster Place center covers about 136,000 square feet on a 4.27-acre site. A February 2025 CBRE sale listing names Regal, a Chase bank branch and a large Advocate Health Care facility as tenants, and counts 611 garage and surface parking spaces, including a deck and lot on the south side of Shakespeare Avenue.
