The Bull Moose is a steakhouse at 2020 N. Halsted St. in Lincoln Park, on the second floor above Beaumont’s. It is built around an in-house dry-aging program for steaks and chops and is open for dinner seven days a week.
What it’s known for
Executive chef Johnny Besch dry-ages and butchers whole sides of beef in house, according to the restaurant’s OpenTable listing. Large cuts meant for sharing include a 23-ounce bone-in New York strip, a 26-ounce bone-in ribeye and a 32-ounce porterhouse. Every steak or chop comes with a choice of soup or salad and the restaurant’s signature “Robouchon” potatoes.
The dining room occupies space that served as second-floor apartments from the 1890s, and it has two fireplaces and a small bar. The Bull Moose and Beaumont’s share a private-dining program.
