Gunny’s Pub is an independently owned Midwestern bistro and bar on Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The casual front room serves bar food and shareables, while a quieter back dining room under a skylight offers a more formal menu.
Owners Mary Nedbalski and Marty O’Connor opened Gunny’s in September 2026 in a 145-year-old building that formerly housed Racine Plumbing Bar & Grill, according to the Sun-Times. Head chef Mike McKinnell builds a seasonal menu around upland game, with dishes such as bavette steak, an Italian beef, a smashburger and duck confit poutine. The pub is named for O’Connor’s late hunting dog.
