Park No. 535 is a 0.14-acre Chicago Park District playlot at 800 W. Wisconsin St., at the corner of Halsted and Wisconsin streets in the southern part of Lincoln Park. It is a short walk southeast of the CTA Armitage station and a few blocks west of Bauler Park.
What it’s known for
The Park District describes it as a play area for children ages 5 and under. The playground has swings, a playhouse and a caterpillar soft-surface bridge.
The site was a small City plaza with trees, lighting and benches, built in the 1960s. In 2005 the Chicago Park District leased it from the City to develop it as a park, and the playground was installed in 2006. It has never been given a name and is still known only by its number.
