Kibbitznest Books & Brews is a book bar at 2212 N. Clybourn Ave. on the west side of Lincoln Park, on the same stretch of Clybourn as Trilokah. The business, which also uses the name “Books, Brews & Blarney,” was founded in 2016.
What it’s known for
Kibbitznest describes itself as a “third place,” a spot apart from home and work where conversation comes first. Wi-Fi is intentionally not offered (“Wifi isn’t on the menu”). The room has shelves of books and magazines to browse or buy, along with board games to play at the table. A menu of drinks and snacks is posted on its website.
The bar hosts regular events, which are listed on its online calendar, and the space can be rented for private gatherings.
