Sweet Mandy B’s is a dessert bakery at 1208 W. Webster Ave. in Lincoln Park. It opened in May 2002 and has a second shop at 254 E. Ontario St. in Streeterville.
What it’s known for
The bakery grew out of baking for family and friends at home and opened as a neighborhood bake shop with pastel colors and vintage decor. Its focus is traditional comfort desserts, with cupcakes front and center, and it makes custom desserts and cakes for birthdays and other celebrations.
Cupcakes can be ordered online for same-day pickup, and future orders cover catering and larger events. The shop’s long evening hours, open until 7 or 8 p.m., make it an easy stop after dinner on the Webster and Racine stretch.
